Business Development Manager

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager is a key (forgive the pun!) part of our family. They are often the first point of contact with new clients and are crucial to representing our values and culture.

This is a sales-orientated role with the primary responsibility being to achieve the required income target through converting both residential and commercial sales enquiries.

You should be sales driven and eager to close a deal without compromising on our integrity as a trusted and professional company. You will also be a point of contact for our customers and help generate positive business outcomes by leading and guiding our clients through their buying journey.

You’ll be (but not limited to):
  • Building excellent relationships with prospective commercial customers (typically multiple sites), looking to finalise a sale where possible and establishing new opportunities where appropriate
  • Generating new leads for outbound campaigns, establishing further growth for the company, sole control on their own contacts & data entry, required for HubSpot
  • Providing timely quotations for commercial and residential clients in response to their enquiries through a value-based approach
  • Reporting on the weekly activity as required to build an understanding of your pipeline and progress for yours and our benefit
  • Working proactively with internal teams to find resolutions to customer queries
  • Meeting income targets, through outbound campaigns, market intel and inbound Webform leads
  • Exploring the needs of our clients and finding opportunities to promote our other services
  • Exceeding sales targets by providing exceptional customer service during the course of the sale – live chat, email, phone
  • Liaising with service partners to source the best pricing for jobs
  • facilitate outbound campaigns, working on messaging and delivery of the campaign
  • Keep up to date with relevant technology relating to keyholding and alarm response services, Smart Access, the Platform and other future developments
You'll have:
  • 1-2 year sales or customer-facing experience
  • Evidence of achieving sales quota, resolving issues and overcoming challenging situations
  • Evidence of building and maintaining a number of relationships simultaneously
  • 3-year checkable work history or continuous education history
  • A high level of IT Literacy – open-minded about new technology
  • Experience working with CRM tools
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
